Kishori Shahane Vij is an Eminent Classical and Folk Dancer and Actress in Hindi, Marathi and English film Industry.
A career of 25+ years, Kishori Shahane has acted in over 250 plus films, 77 plus serials, Web Series, Advertisements and done Live Performances.
Though she entered the world of acting as a child actor, “Prem Karuya Khullam Khulla” along with Ashok Saraf, was her debut film as a main actor. She was just 16 when chosen for this role.
In her College Days she was crowned as Miss Mithibai, also she was a runner up in the Mrs. Gladrags Beauty Peagent.
She has worked with Reputed Directors like Mahesh Bhatt, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Hansal Mehta, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Satish Kaushik.
Kishori is a classical and folk dancer. She has performed on stage in India and abroad.
As a Filmmaker, her Marathi film “Mohatyachi Renuka” won the Maharashtra State Award 2007 for Best Editing. The film was produced and directed by Kishori.
Her next venture “Malik Ek” (Hindi) was based on the life of Sai Baba and had Jackie Shroff in the lead role, Also She has Produced Multi Starcast Marathi Film “Aika Dajiba”. Both Fims are Directed by Deepak Balraj Vij.
Family –
Kishori Shahane was born in highly Educated-Cultured Indian Marathi Family. Her Father-Mother encouraged to perceive her career, and was always supported by her sisters.
People say marriages are made in Heaven. She married her soulmate, filmmaker Deepak Balraj Vij.
Deepak is a perfect husband; Friend-Philosopher-Guide. He is a Director, Actor and Writer. His popular films are “Sailaab”, “Jaan Tere Naam”, “Hafta Bandh”, “Maalik Ek – Saibaba Film”. Deepak Balraj Vij is National Integration Award Winner.
She is Blessed by a very talented son Bobby Vij.
Bobby is a caring son and gifted by Art, Dance and Dashing Personality. At a very young age he won the title Mr.Gladrags. He is Performing Artist for Films, Web Series, Ramp Shows, Advertisements.
